Women of Wedgewood Pines

Ladies Golf Association

Who We Are

The Women of Wedgewood Pines (WOWP) are members of the country club who joined together and formed a ladies golf association to foster and promote interest in golf and to encourage the participation of women golfers at Wedgewood Pines.

Our Objective

The objective of this Association is to stimulate interest in the game of golf and to promote good sportsmanship. To that end, its members pledge themselves to know and observe the rules and etiquette of the game, to encourage all women golfers to participate, and to create a social atmosphere for the enjoyment of golf. The Association will provide weekly games and also special tournaments in cooperation with the management of Wedgewood Pines Country Club

Membership

The membership is open to all female members of Wedgewood Pines Country Club with golf privileges. Did you get your WoWP "Little Booklet"

"Dream Big" Charity Tournament

Midweek 9/18 Hole & Lunch Group

Meet new faces and see your old chums!
Our Wednesday morning women’s league is designed for us to get together and play 9 or 18 (your choice each week) and then stay for lunch and socialize afterwards. Weekly games may be added over time if interest is expressed.
Call the Pro Shop by Noon the day before. They will assign groups and tee times.
Note: If you are ever looking for other women to play with during the week, just call the Pro Shop and they can let you know who’s going out and suggest a group. Women play every day and are glad to have others join them!

Ringers / Birdies / Most Improved Player
(May 15 through Sept 15)

The Ringer Tournament is your lowest gross score on each of the 18 holes. The "Ringer Board" will be in the ladies locker room.

The first time you play, simply fill out the "Ringer Slip" with your gross score for every hole (Ringer chair will post your name on the ringer board). Make sure that your card is "attested" by a golfer in your group.

After the initial round, only record your improved gross ringer score on the "Ringer Board" and put your "Ringer Slip" into the basket in the locker room.

Your name will be added to the "Birdie Tree" based on the Birdies and Eagles that were posted on the "Ringer Board"

Most Improved player will be determined by initial handicap on May15 (or once one is established) and compared to ending handicap on September 15.
